About the blog
This blog is about consumers and brands and marketing and observations about those that are having deep meaningful relationships with their customers.
It is for and about Brand Champions.
This phrase is meant as a double entendre. A Brand Champion is anyone actively working to promote their brand … like a Marketing or Advertising Executive. But a Brand Champion is also your most loyal consumer, someone who believes in what you provide. It’s the caffeine junky at the office who says, “I’m going on a Starbucks run; do you want anything?” or the guy who waited outside Best Buy overnight to buy the iPhone.
I will post in this blog twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.
I am a passionate marketer, one who helps with the business of branding and the fun of engaging with consumers. Because of that passion, these posts are bound to be personal. I am President and Chief Marketing Strategist, with focus on branding and consumer interaction. My company is Beacon Marketing (www.beacon-marketing.com). Your brand is your beacon. When you build on a strong consumer foundation, your brand can cut through the fog and guide your consumer to the safe harbor that your product and services offer.
P.S. My name is Rahna Barthelmess. No one can pronounce my last name, but luckily, my first name is so unusual that most don’t need to refer to my last name. Growing up, I was told that Rahna was a Danish name (traditionally spelled R-a-g-n-a). However, when I went to Denmark while working for LEGO, the Danes laughed and told me they think it must be an ancient Norwegian name….Regardless, Rahna is me.
